SUNFLOWER HUSK / SHELL PELLETS
Another by-product of the kernels production is sunflower husk pellets, which is ecologically friendly source of energy. They are mad by the husks/shells of the sunflower seeds used for kernels production. Due to the fact that, the raw materials/shells have an important content of oil, they have one of the highest calorie rates in pellet industry. Depending on the type of the seeds used for kernels production, the calories of the pellets varies between 4.2-5.3 kWh/Kg. Since our sunflower husk pellets differ in size, they are mainly used by the atomic centrals, energy producers and big factories, which rely on heat energy for their energy needs.
